    Kosovo: Albanian Anti-Ottoman revolt (1690)

I have Tatjana Katic’s publication. Can’t remember now where I got it, maybe from poreklo.rs.

    Kosovo: Albanian Anti-Ottoman revolt (1690)

Not sure honestly hence why I mentioned we should be cautious. I am not a linguist so can’t really dwell much deeper into it. However we shouldn’t overlook the similarities between Berishe and the patronyms I brought up. Where was he from? Possibilities are that they could have converted to...

    Kosovo: Albanian Anti-Ottoman revolt (1690)

Even the surrounding region was pred Albanian, not just the city. Look at the register of 1452/53 (Vilajet of Pashtrik), Alb names like Progon, Gjin, Tanush, Gjon, Lesh etc are everywhere. Only Gore stands out, not surprising at all considering it’s the only enclave in that region that still...

    Kosovo: Albanian Anti-Ottoman revolt (1690)

When it comes to the fis name/patronym Berishe and those toponyms I would be more cautious. Reason being is because patronyms like Berivoj, Berislav, Beridrag etc which share the root ‘Beri’ were very common patronyms among Slavs of that era, especially Serbs.

    Kosovo: Albanian Anti-Ottoman revolt (1690)

Look at the register of 16th century (1571). Muslims in the rural regions were still rare. This changes however drastically after the Bogdani campaign. But yeah, Vushtrri, Prizren, Peje and Prishtine were the centres that were pred Muslim from the early days. Most of the city dwellers later on...

    Kosovo: Albanian Anti-Ottoman revolt (1690)

You are mixing two different periods with over 200 years in between. For the period we are talking about, Albanians in Kosove were predominantly Catholic. Especially in the rural regions.

    Kosovo: Albanian Anti-Ottoman revolt (1690)

Yeah, ‘loyal servants’ lol Most of these ‘historians’ haven’t even done the most basic research. Or, perhaps they are incentivized to write such rubbish. For example, as an amateur observer, just by studying the tax system of that period in the region one can see who was that Ottomans...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Probably all date to Ottoman period, if they derive from Albanian. Zabel definitely doesn’t though.

Man, you with this shit again. Can you point us to what propaganda we are spreading?

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Cetina will end up being predominantly L283, as is obvious by the samples we already have. Bell Beaker influence among them was just that, mostly cultural influence. Genetically obviously they didn’t carry the Beaker package.

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Well yeah, because Beakers were famous for spreading L283.

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

I agree with the last statement for the most part, except the central Balkans part. I am not so sure that will be the case. We could have been more south, in transitional territories like southern Serbia, Kosove North Albania or even Macedonia.

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

All Paleo Balkan languages were initially mediated by Z2103 linages, including Illyrian.

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Regionally speaking Kosove is a lot more complex when it comes to Slavic influence. Based on uniparental markers Peje and Decan thus far do stand out and both cities are as west as they can get. Prizren will too, based on Gora being within their realm. Rahovec as well considering the...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

A lot more than 300 have tested, especially on 23andme. I am not that interested on autosomal dna to be honest so I don’t follow that closely. I do however pay attention to my matches on 23andme. I have over 1200 matches and I have yet to see one example from Kosove that deviates from the Alb...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Funny enough, most families from Kosove and Macedonia that claim to have Turkish roots that have tested have ended up belonging to native linages, predominantly Albanian. Only in one instance a family tested as CTS10228. So, the eastern genetic influence (Anatolian, Jewish etc) seems to have...

Begolli doesn’t seem to have been Dukagjin. Nor Berishe or Gash.

Read Tropoja ne Breza te Ibrahim Malaj because he explains those relations between Bardhi, Luzha and Shipshani very well. He was a Tropojan himself so he should know better than me and you. Today’s Luzha used to inhabit Curraj te Poshtem, so them being the old Gashi is 100% confirmed. Even their...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Luzha/Botusha are the old Gashi, with their old settlement being in Geghysen. They got displaced and almost reduced to nothing by Krasniqi/Nika. What remained of them in Tropoje settled Luzhe. Also why we see all the old Gashi settlements in Kosove, especially Drenice and Mitrovice area, being...
