These numbers are not far from those found by this 2007 genetic study of the Argentine population.
They used two different methods, according to one method the averages were : European - 78%, Amerindian - 19.4%, African - 2.5%. According to the other method they were : European - 80.2%, Amerindian - 18.1%, African - 1.7%.

These are my results according to FTDNA. But according to various Gedmatch calculators, my percentages are approximately 79 % European, 18 % Native American and 3 % Sub Saharan African.
Very consistent with the history of my country. My family is from Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. My father was 100% ethnically Italian, since my grandfather was from Veneto and my grandmother, Uruguayan , had her four gradparents from Piedmont. And my mother had mixed ethnic components, since my gradparents were from the northern region of Uruguay were most of the indigenous genes were preserved. She also had an Italian great-grandfather.
So...I consider myself " white"?. Well....ehmmm...mmm...it depends. According to American criteria, obviously not. I have a " permanent tan" that would make an American classify me perhaps as someone from the Middle East or as " Latino" .
Years ago I posted some photos of myself in the " Guess the ethnicity" section and several Eupedia members classified me as Southern European.
I think there are fewer and fewer 100% genetically European people left. I am 57 years old, and I have a co-worker whose parents were Galicians, and another daughter of Calabrians. They are both almost my age. But in the new generations, being 100% of European origin must be increasingly rare.

If we use 90% European as the required amount to be called white, then for example Russell Crowe is not white because he is 1/8 Maori.

I think 80% is a better treshold.
