I help a lady from Asia who is adopted, she has taken tests on MyHeritage, Ansestry and 23andme.

We have now uploaded Ancestry and 23andme raw DNA to MyHeritage.

The strangest thing is that on the 3 tests on MyHeritage, each test has 36, 46 and 39 matches respectively, only 3 people match on all 3 tests and a total of 96 different people match in total,
I wonder why the results are so different on the same person on the same database but with 3 companies' raw DNA?

Her best match is 95cm and it only matches on MyHeritage's own test.

in 6 years , looking after 6 myheritage accounts, i have never had a accurate match when it was noted as Low Confidence.

the other 2 categorgies, i have had many accurate and confirmed matches via records and other means.

Any match beyond third cousin is unreliable and meaningless (on any DNA website).

if it's true, that's bad news for her. since her top best match on myheritage are 95cm, ancestry 57cm and 23andme 0.94%.

however, based on the matches she has, which most of them are much less shared cm than her top matches have we been able to conclude, her probable origin to an area with a radius of 20 km, and her ethnic tribal group, even it's 3-4-5 cousins something..... although we lack being able to build a tree between most of them since most matches if they know their biological family only know 2 generations back

Different snp's , some people can find their roots with matches with small segments but a lot of these matches is really not reliable for several reasons , is good to focus in matches with large segments
