This is the most comprehensive map of variations of English accents in North America that I found so far. Very interesting.

This might be on interest. It's about the utah/mormon accent. the guy with the microphone sounds very similar to my grandfather.
Utah had high immigrant population for England & Denmark and is the state with the highest density of people with Danish ancestry. It's a rarely talked about accent but linguists are starting to pay more attention to it. I wonder if Danish influenced their accent.
