Is haplogroup D actually the Sumerians of Ancient Mesopotamia?

I personally think that Y-haplogroup T will be well represented amongst ancient Sumerians, higher than in other contemporary ethnic groups, although probably not dominant. I wouldn't be surprised to find considerable percentages of Y-haplogroup L1 as well.

Agglutinative features in a language are not some indicator of common ancestry. It is such a universal human language evolution that it happens in all languages.

I just don't see how Sumerians had Y-DNA D, where is the connection or indicators?

Sumerians themselves declared they came from further south, material culture on them is very scarce but some declare that ultimate they descended from some PPNB cultures from Northern Mesopotamia down mixing with the Ubaid people, now whether the Ubaid Culture or this Northern Mesopotamian was more dominant and ancestral to language is unknown at the moment.

I agree with Maciamo that the Sumerians were most likely L and T with some J addition. Also agree that postulating a relation between languages on the basis of agglutinative features is nonsensical.

Ive seen those rumours, but there is no single mention of a source, and lately I have been seeing a lot of posts on X of people just shamelessly trolling and spreading lies, and then years get past and nothing from these rumours are confirmed.
