Italians try American food. They got set up; they were deliberately given gross stuff for entertainment purposes.

One of the worst things you can give Italians is soft, squishy bread rolls. Soon after I arrived here I had a temper tantrum over "American" bread. I remember asking my father how he could have brought us to a country where they didn't even have bread, and then stormed out of the room in a flood of tears! I think that's behind my life long determination to cook "our" food, "our" way.
