why is it not possible to edit posts ?
 
All could pass as European (mainly southern European) in my opinion. I’m away from my pc atm but a couple of individuals could pass as northwest European or a mix between Southern and Northern European.

Well for some reason I can't copy paste photos that you have shared or post images myself. Photo number 2 of the individual on your original post looks northwest European to me. Actor Kit Harrington is half British and half Italian ancestry and he wouldn't look too out of place in your line up of photos. Mediterranean looking northwest Europeans exist. There isn't universal consensus but some view me as looking Mediterranean. And I also don't think I'd look too out of place in the photo lineup especially if you made a game out of it and asked people to identify who is not Kurdish like including photo #2.

well MAYBE the guy in second pic can pass but i think he would be the only one . cant see anyone else passing as north/northwest european

and no you dont pass as Kurdish to be honest . your facial features are foreign . you can pass as south european but not in west asia imo

There are a few others that look like they could pass in Europe. but for some reason I still can't copy paste any of the photos you shared in this thread to show you.

The lady with the shoulder length hair and glasses doesn't look near eastern to me. I bet you 5$ if someone on the street were to try and identify a lineup of photos including mine with the lady in the glasses and photo #2 who is not Kurdish, some would overlook me haha. Some of these guys on this lineup of photos and women if I met them in real life would have to tell me they are Kurdish otherwise on the streets of the U.S. I'd assume they would be some white (European descent) American. Personally, I met a guy here in the States that I assumed was a white dude in a suit. I found out he was Iranian or half (can't remember) after seeing his last name. Not all of them could really pass in Europe or as European descent (Northwest, South, East) some I'd recognize as being near eastern.

you said first that all people on the pics can pass in europe . you changed your mind ?

well Kurds like all northern west asians have a decent overlap with balkans and med islands europe lookwise . and we share a lot of genes with europeans . but of course we are still different and you can tell west asians and europeans apart in groups

and i personally consider our people white regardless of europe passing or not . i consider all caucasians white . if anyone disagrees with me thats fine but i dont buy into the eurocentric categorization of it . but the white term is not relevant in everyday life in a lot of places in the world . it is used more in new world

Yeah I looked at all of the photos a second time and there were some individuals, not many, that could have a difficult time passing as broadly European. But maybe they could still pass in southern Europe. Some people from Greece and southern Italy may think the individuals I’m unsure about in their opinion could pass in their region. I noticed you had your photo in the lineup. A while ago I saw your YouTube video on your DNA ancestry test. My initial impression of you was that I thought you were Italian. After seeing your results I can now see where your appearance is coming from.

I think it would be near impossible to find the video. It was from a few years ago. Could have been someone that looked like you. The person in the video said he was born Iraq.

If I find the video I'll share it. Have you ever recorded yourself sharing your DNA test results? If so someone uploaded to youtube. So you weren't born in Iraq during the gulf war? But later you found out that you had Kurdish roots in Turkey?

no i have never made such a video . i am not born in iraq no . i was born in Türkiye

but i have taken a DNA test as you know . you saw my G25 model yesterday :cool:
 
All of them could easily pass as Persians as well but there isn’t much difference between northern Westasians anyway.

Wow, interesting! I've been mistaken for someone else myself. This person looked like you and as I mentioned above had Kurdish ancestry but detailed in the video he was born in Iraq during the gulf war. I think he was living in the U.S. and so his ancestry was not completly known until he took a DNA test and spoke with his mother and did some genealogical research.

to be honest i have to disagree . dont get me wrong i have nothing against persians / iranians . quite the contrary ...i like you a lot but the truth is that many persians can not pass as Kurdish

this blows minds of people when i say this because there is an anthromyth that Kurds and Persians look so similar when that is not the case . at least i can tell you as a Kurd that many Persians look clearly different to me from Kurds
