Lets be honest, being that the turks are muslim and barely in Europe they will not be considered European. However, genetically they are just as European (esp western turks) as any eastern European (Huns, bulgars).Religion is the biggest issue.

i also find it funny that people here can say that the turks have arab culture. what a closed minded thing to say. Do the turks not eat the same types of food as the greeks? do they not have many similar cultural superstitions? The turks are a product of where they are located which is in between europe and asia. If you ask me it is a wonderful mix, it is also the craddle of european civilization. the turks did what every race did back then, conquer and spread their culture, how was the roman empire built?
