K36 Post your K36 maps, lets see how similar you are to each country

Hmmm no, but maybe yes. I mean, the whole concept of genetics (at this level of course) it's more like...x isn't y. I mean, each ethnicity is a mixture of different "ingredients", to a point that some are common to a certain group at certain levels. For example, if you use European groups, all...

How accurate are FTDNA My Origins?

You know, at first when I saw the 20% Sephardic I was ok. Like, my family has a "Morisco" surname, so I thought I would be a typical "Marrano" from Spain with other mixtures. Than, it changed to 5% Ashkenazi at My Heritage. So well, I went back to Morisco (who returned to Morocco) since I've...

How accurate are FTDNA My Origins?

Mine was even more bizarre. I've Italian ancestry from 75% of my family and I got 0% Italian, 40 Iberian + 20% Sephardic Jew. When I saw I was like "WTF", but after uploading it to other places (inclsuding GedMatch) things started to get closer to reality.

GEDMatch HarappaWorld Gedmatch, post and compare your admixtures to ancient and contemporary.

At some point, yes. I mean, my family culturally speaking is Italian/Brazilian everywhere, so it's somewhat hard to explain for them (especially my father, which has the Sub-Saharian/Amerindian/Central Asian side) that all his family is a big group of different ethnical groups. Since he lost his...

Yeah, the Lithuanian/Stuttgart probably "fill" the Italian/Balkanic sides. The rest of this 4.5 to 0 would be Amerindian, probably. I'm an insane melting pot, typical brazilian.

I sent it, but since it's too long maybe a mod will have to accept it lol Anyway, I think I can put something here so : I don't think the Oracle-4 at Harappa can help a lot since there are some Latin American models there; so it makes just a bit closer if I try to compare with other ones...

The Genetic Diversity of the Americas

Well, being Brazilian myself it's...interesting. I did my Autosomal at FTDNA than uploaded it at My Heritage and stayed hours trying everything at GEDmatch. After tracing everything, trying to make some sense within family knowledge etc the final result would be something like this: - 65%...
