    Partial Y DNA results !

The last marker tested before V222 it was Z28000 and the outcome was T+, I guess If I am not Y11325 they will test Z38888 https://www.yseq.net/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=28410&osCsid=f6d359f205e88cabb7be65f0081a57b7

It turns out that v222 is G-, ancestral so next in process is Y11325

    Haplogroup C

Ah I just checked and found out that v222 is only 4300 ybp old. in my autosomal dna it says im about 10% european mostly italien and more than 80% north african (speculative 23andme) but this doesnt help tracking the time of migration from a to b.

Hi sparkey, The next subclade in process is v222. I let you know resulst after 2/3 weeks from now. And by the way how do I know the timeline when my paternal line migrated to North Africa, if i turn out v222? this might happen in the ice age, neolithic, 1000 years ago, 400 years ago ...any...

    Haplogroup C

It seems finally that I am C-V20, still need to identify which sub branch, which still in process. This meant to be one of the earliest Sapiens that entered Europe and wiped out the neanderthals. but what time crossed to North Africa ... i have no idea ....still need some reading/searching about...

    Partial Y DNA results !

I think it starts to make more sense now. I found this page below in eupedia and it tracks down the different markers of haplogrouc C from Asia through Europe and other places worldwide.

    Partial Y DNA results !

By the way the last marker with T+ is Z28000, which I guess derived from v20 ? Does it mean I am C-V20 ?

    Partial Y DNA results !

Hi Regio, What does it mean Ancestral and derived ? is A and G are ancestral and T derived ? Not sure I got this right. I also have another two markers as T+ and V222 still processing.

I just been emailed a quick summary results from Y SEQ: results are like : F1370 G- M217 A- M216 T+ etc .... Can someone explain to me the relation between these markers and these bases ? I just asked them to identify my subclade. Thanks

let's hg A represents mainly east European that would be his ethnicity, same thing for sub saharan ...etc
  15. O

    Geno 2.0 Geno 2.0 results

Well of course they would assign him to hg A (from an ancestry point of view).

    Geno 2.0 Geno 2.0 results

But this complexity exist also at autosomal dna level. not sure this is the reason they dont use haplogroups. lets say Population X has Hp A 50% Hp B 30% and Hp C 20%, same thing would happened with MtDna .... wouldn't this be more relevant in terms of ethnicity/origins of any population ?
  17. O

    Geno 2.0 Geno 2.0 results

Not sure I am convinced by your answer LeBrok. I am not talking here about cultural ethnicity but genetic ethnicity like the ones based on autosomal dna in geno 2.0 ? you said we can do that only if population is not well mixed. could you please be more explicit ?

    Geno 2.0 Geno 2.0 results

Yes I know that. what about instead of comparing our autosomal dna to an underlying database samples, we just take into account the haplogroup percentage in a population to deduct the ethnicity percentages ..? not sure my question is clear....
  19. O

    Geno 2.0 Geno 2.0 results

just a question: the ethnicity/population percentage is based on autosomal dna. would it be more relevant if it was on haplogroups ?
  20. O

    Haplogroup C

Yes All kind of scenarios are possible. That's why I need another test to see which subclade. Thanks for your offer by the way. I sent you an MP
