Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Who knows what he considers ‘the most typical Illyrian’ Logically speaking, yes - one would think he is talking about L283.

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

Interesting, noticed I41663 at FTDNA they had him under Y229537 yfull node. Really good reads for FGC14730 and currently splits that yfull node: FGC14730 (G+) Y229640 (A-) Y229542 (A-) MF78736 (C-) I am seeing only some Tosks there, Gjirokaster/Vlore. Just above a sample from Kukes.

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

Yeah I think so, CTS699 was probably Mycenaean

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

Kek Why would i want him to be Creek 🤣 He’s probably mystery meat from some Roman/Avar mixed settlement but obviously ultimately from central/western Balkans

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

From this data set you have five confirmed BY611+ I41663 (Y32147) - South Slavic cluster, closest population wise to Pannonian Avars I43465 (PH970) - South Slavic cluster, closest population Montenegro High Medieval Doclea I40319 (BY611) - Slavic shifted, Hungary High Medieval closest...

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

I wasn’t saying it’s Illyrian. Yes, that’s a Roman site and I counted three V13, four J2a, one J1, one L283 and one G2a. It’s a Roman melt pot type of site, so without knowing the context of that sample we can’t say exactly what he is or how he formed that profile. He could be from such a site...

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

Btw, based on that G25 clusterer tool, the FTD60421 fella clusters with "Greece_BA_Epirus" and his closest population are "Croatia_Late_Antiquity_Hvar_Radosevic (BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile).

    A possibility, sure.

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

I wouldn't make much of that female from Shtike. She obviously came to Albania during the migration era just by looking at her Mtdna. The whole tmrca of that clade is like only 1850: https://www.yfull.com/mtree/U4c1/ The unfortunate thing is that they only got us one sample, and a female from...

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

Yeah, those may be Iapygians - there was a ‘leak’ that one of them may be BY251, so could be one of those samples. But yes, core seems Illyrian Cinamak like. I28428 is even PH925, like that other Cinamak sample, Beli Manastir R3542 and that Czech Hallsttat I14983 fella.

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

Interesting, only few are major outliers - the rest seem to be between Cinamak and that Thracian cluster. Can you label all of their IDs so I know which ones to drill into?

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

    This guy seems to have lower coverage overall but he is Z2705- Can you plug all of these guys on a PCA? I16767 I18797 I25954 I26211 I26204 I26506 I26695 I26724 I28428 I28424 I29153 I29184 I29484 I131639 I131710 I43560

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

FTD60421 is a shallow sublcade, only like 1700 years old and mostly represented by Tatars now days: https://discover.familytreedna.com/y-dna/R-FTD60421/story Their closest relative under Y79836 is an Anglo American at 2900ybp.

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

Obviously I40319 and I39569 are not telling us much besides that BY611 was more widespread - I mean we have a German from Poland and a Sardinian as BY611*, so these samples don’t change the picture much. I41663 and I43465 seem to be in a sea of Slavic linages like CTS10228 so the context should...

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

I40319 is in a odd mix if we are to go by the sample IDs. He is R1b-BY611* (xY23373, Y30192) I39569 seems more like in a Balkan mix considering the V13 samples around there. He too is R1b-BY611* (xY23373, Y30192)

Neolithic Refuge and Continuity in Transylvania

I wouldn't jump the gun without any context even if they come from the neighboring slavic speaking countries. They are probably medieval or even more recent, especially I41663 fella. So far I41663 seems to be Y32147* (no coverage for Y133365 but negative for below branches. Same thing for...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Who suggested that there is special relations besides me pointing out that it's just a parallel branch to BY611 and likely an Illyrian remnant? Why so tense baba wanga, your Paracin Basarabi not materializing? BY611 will be found in that triangle I spoke of before, Maros/Albania to North...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

His tmrca with the Czech fella is 1200BCE. What do you think, he came Slavs or perhaps he is just a local like we are seeing now that CTS1450 was more of a Balkan thing for Bronze and Iron Age. In North Macedonia you have the Ulanci guy as CTS7556 (xCTS1450) only some kilometers away from the...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

Great examples of what I mean with that diversity, see these branches that are under the same cluster Y19469 like these Gomolova fellas, and the two sub-branches that have southern Albanians have diverged 3700ybp: https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Y209555/ https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Y19752/ These...

Where does the Albanian language come from? [VIDEO]

To be honest I haven't even looked at that paper. As a whole of course I agree, I thought you were saying that CTS1450 was not Illyrian at all. We know that the Kamenica guys are BY251 at least, and they were Illyrian. Cinamak guy was BY251- and had no coverage for BY611 but he is Y23373-...
