I2+R1a+R1b Contact Area = PIE Urheimat

In this topic we discuss only male lines (Y haplogroups). Everyone has maternal side as well (mtDNA), but in many ancient (European) cultures you see patrilocality or the cultural heritage passed down on paternal side. So the mother can come from different locality/culture, but belonging to one...

I2+R1a+R1b Contact Area = PIE Urheimat

And I still think there is not really any I2 from Cucuteni.

Were I2a Slavs part of the same tribe?

Do we have Lusatian I2a samples for this? Which subclades were there? I'm mainly interested in my own y hg history.

Were I2a Slavs part of the same tribe?

This topic need to be revived. As I see the I2a1 haplo group joined the R1a people somewhere in North from Carpathians, in Poland or somewhere east from that territory. But who were they? Maybe the split between Baltics and Slavs was due to the appearance of I2a. Or am I false? Which tribe the...

How to divide Slavs from Balts, and vice-versa before 6th century?

Is there any coordinates to use for Balts vs. Slavs on G25 or any similar program?

To burn or not to burn: LBA/EIA Balkan case

Do you mind to share these I2 samples? Thank you!

To burn or not to burn: LBA/EIA Balkan case

This I-cts10228 - Suevi > I-y3120 - Bastarnae, Dacian. Mind to share some evidence for it? In PM works as well. Thanks!

    Slavic homeland and ethnogenesis

It seems to me that Baltic countries are relatively low in I2 hgs. So basically I2 made the "Slavic" from Balto-slavic?

    I-y16473

Maybe it is too personal story, but maybe interesting in connection of my y haplo. I've just recently learned that our original paternal family surname is of Czech/Slovakian origin. So yes, if I-Y16473 or it's ancestor is White Croat they probably migrated to Czechia and/or Slovakia, or at least...

    I-y16473

    Now I tried to collect the archeological foundings with connected I2 stuff: I-Y16473: Kra008 Germany, Krakauer Berg - 599 ybp - Sorb? I-Y4882: POH36 Czechia., Pohansko - 1162 ybp - Moravian? I-Y3120: I10430 Turkey, Bursa, Ilpinar - 1199 ybp - "Byzantine"* I-CTS10228: I18719 Croatia...

    I-y16473

Yeah, maybe I used bad wording or something, but I'm interested in the time period between WHG (I2a) and Krakauer Berg (I-Y16473). I don't wanna buy anything atm.

    I-y16473

Hello there! With the updates of LivingDNA I've learned my Y-hg is I-Y16473. I know a sample from Krakauer Berg with this HG. So my paternal line was like Cro Magnons / WHG -> ? -> ? -> Veneti? -> Wends and White Croats? Or what is the most plausible theory at the moment?
