When did baltic and slavic split ?

yes, i meant the aestii, so were those fenno-ugric people ? i thought they were baltic speaking. so that means the Venedae were baltic ? i thought they were the ancestors of the slavs however. i also read somewhere that venedae might have been centum people.

what avout the theory of thracian and dacian being related to baltic languages, i think they are really quite similar, despite being seperated by thousand of years. not sure on thracian, but dacian definatly seems related.

When did baltic and slavic split ?

baltic seems to be quite a primtive language, with many proto indo european features. so i think that slavic might is just a derived form with it. also regions which are slavic today, were once baltic. they got assimilated by slavs or germans (original prussians). also heard that once slavs and...

I heard once that the areas where balts live today, where once inhabitated by the Fenni, ancestors of the finnish people. Later the balts migrated north and settled there. If i look at baltic people, they more resemble finnish people instead pf slavics, which can be quite dark skinned.however...

The Arab chronicler Ibn al-Faqih wrote that there were two types of saqaliba (arabian name for Slavs): those with swarthy skin and dark hair that live by the sea and those with light skin that live farther inland." does that mean swarthy skinned slavs that live by the see are balts ? Both...

    Dacian language

I heard on this forum that lithuanian might be a relative of the Dacian language, however i never heard of this theory before. I always thought that Dacian is a languager closely related with Illyrian, and also Albanian might be some kind of descendant of Dacian. There is a theory that dacians...

    Celts from Iberia

i dont get what you mean with that. who says celts had porcellance skin and blue eyes ? thats just your theory, not solid in proofs, celts more likely were darker than we imagined, and atleast darker than germanic people. Also if your are assuming all central europeans have porcellan white skin...
